Australia is located in the southern hemisphere and comprises the mainland also known as the Australian continent (World’s smallest), the Islands of Tasmania and numerous smaller Islands in the Indian Ocean and Pacific Ocean. The Country has achieved a literacy level of 99% since education was made compulsory in 1870.It is well to note Australia is the flattest continent with the oldest and least fertile soils plus it is the driest inhabited continent on our planet, yet it has turned out to be such an attractive destination for those seeking higher education.
